Abstract
This master thesis examines categories and conceptual schemes in terms of Donald Davidson’s and Daniel Dennett’s philosophical terms, as well as ontological aspect and different interpretation of conceptual schemes and categories in different philosophical theories. Speaking of concepts, D. Davidson focused on charity principle and considered it to be one of the major rules for successful communication between those who belong to different conceptual schemes. D. Dennett claims that human mind is “cultural software”, and human mind can form only due to cultural influence. Mind and comprehension, according to D. Dennett, are not just collection of empirical data, but they allow to react to environmental events, and to figure out the best possible respond to the situation. This master thesis consists of 61 pages, 31 sources are used, including Internet sources.
