Abstract
Pētījumā izmantoti divi pishometriskie instrumenti: SAM (Self-Assesment Manikin) Pašnovērtējuma manekena anketa un I PANAS SF (International Positive and Negative Affect Schedule) Pozitīvo un negatīvo afektu skala.
Pētījumā piedalījās 134 universitātes studenti no Latvijas Universitātes.
The purpose of this study was to adapt Emotional Movie Data Base (EMDB) in Latvia. Film clips from 6 different categories were used to elicit emotional states from different quadrants of affective space. Respondents completed following questionaries: Self-Assesment Manikin SAM and International Positive and Negative Affect Schedule I PANAS SF The study included 402 respondents from Latvian University. Objective of the present study was to compare Latvian and EMDB psychometric data means and measure correlation between SAM valence scales and positive and negative affect scales. Signifficant Differences were found between Latvian and EMDB respondents. That was explained by cultural differences between expression of emotions in Northern and Southern cultures. Valence sclae significantly correlated with positive or negative affect scales in five film categories. Emotional movie database can reliably be used in Latvia in psychological research requiring the presentation of non-auditory film clips with different ratings of valence, arousal and dominance.
