dc.description.abstract | Žurnāla "Православие в Балтии" [Pareizticība Baltijā] Nr.6 struktūru veido trīs nodaļas: zinātniskie raksti, memuāri un dokumentu publikācijas. Pirmajā nodaļā ir publicēti septiņi pētījumi, kuri ir veltīti Pareizticīgās Baznīcas vēsturei 20.gs. otrajā pusē, kā arī atsevišķo pareizticīgo garīdznieku biogrāfijām. Lasītājam ir iespēja iedziļināties Pareizticīgās Baznīcas Baltijas ekzarhāta darbībā Otrā pasaules kara laikā, padomju valdības politikā attiecībā uz pareizticīgo klosteriem Lietuvā (1944-1990), kā arī uzzināt vairāk par Latgales pareizticīgā garīdznieka Gordija Olševska (1897-1944) traģisko likteni, Rīgā dzimušā bīskapa Konstantīna (1907-1996) dzīves ceļu, Tallinas un Igaunijas bīskapa Isidora (1879-1949) garīgo kalpošanu, kā arī par Kārsavas Sv. Polockas Efrosinijas pareizticīgo baznīcas pārzini, arhimantrītu Viktoru (Mamontovu, 1938-2016). Otrajā nodaļā ir publicēti Limbažu pareizticīgo baznīcas draudzes vecākās Annas Garklāvas atmiņas. Trešajā nodaļā ir publicēti dokumenti, kas attiecas uz Tallinas bīskapa Platona biogrāfiju, kā arī metropolīta Eleutērija (Bogojavlenska) vēstule (1932). | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | 6th issue of journal “The Orthodoxy in the Baltics” contains three sections: 1. Scientific articles; 2. Memoirs; 3. Publication of documents. The first section of journal contains seven original scientific articles. The article of the Russian historian and archive expert Mikhail Shkarovsky is sanctified to history of the last period of history of the Baltic exarchate of Russian Orthodoxy Church in the years of Second world war. The article of the Russian historian Konstantin Oboznij is devoted to an Orthodox Chucrh priest Gordy Olshevsky’s (1897-1944) service period in Latvia. Article is based on his daughter’s Nadezhda Gordeevna’s memories. The article of the Latvian historian Alexander Gavrilin recounts the life and career of Bishop Constantine Emanuel (Essenskii, 1907, Riga - 1996, Christ Savior Monastery in Blanco, TX, USA). An article of Polish historian, Professor Antoni Mironowicz reflects situation of the Orthodox Church in Poland after the World War II in Poland, when it found itself in a new sociopolitical situation. The article of Lithuanian historian Regina Laukaityte analyzes the policies of the Soviet authorities in regard to the Orthodox monasteries in the Lithuanian SSR in 1944-1990. In mentioned period two Orthodox monasteries – the Holy Spirit for men and the Mary Magdalene for women were active in Vilnius, as well as the unique monastic community in Mikniškės 30 km from Vilnius. Estonian researcher Sergei Männik offers his article on the life of the first head of Leningrad Theological Seminary and Academy after their re-establishment in the Soviet Union after World War II was archpriest Johann Bogoyavlensky, later Isidor, the Bishop of Tallinn and Estonia (1879-1949). Latvian researcher Natalia Bolshakova-Minchenko devoted her article to the blessed memory of the Orthodox priestmonk Father Victor Mamontov (1938-2016), whose Church ministry took place in the small town of Karsava (Latvia). In the second section of the periodical memoirs of Anna Garklava. She spent her life devoted to the Transfiguration Orthodox church in Limbazhi, Latvia. Anna’s father, Peteris Garklavs was the gatekeeper of the church and her mother, Alvina, sang at the Divine services. They both participated very actively in parish life. In the third section of the periodical three documents are published: List of heritage of Platon, the bishop of Tallinn, the letters of Mother Superior Sergyia (Mansurova) to the Bishop of Tallinn and Vicar of Riga Platon in summer 1918 (publication by Tatiana Shor); the letter of Metropolitan Elevfery (Bogoyavlensky) to the former head secretary of the Synod of Karlovci, E. I. Makharoblidze from October 5, 1932 (publication by Anatoly Kinstler). | |
