Abstract
Mūsdienīgajā digitālajā laikmetā, kad iedzīvotāji lieto datorus arvien vairāk, rodas nepieciešamība piedāvāt iespējas pārvaldīt vairākus procesus ar datora palīdzību. Šo prasību apmierināšanai tiek lietoti portāli, kas piedāvā plašu funkcionalitāti. Latvijas Universitātei arī ir savs portāls. Laika gaitā portāla lietotājiem tiek piedāvātas arvien jaunākas iespējas un funkcionalitāte. Tehnoloģijas ir vienmēr vienu soli priekšā lietojamiem risinājumiem, jo to ieviešana prasa noteiktu laiku. Arī Latvijas Universitātes portālā ir pienācis tas brīdis, kad ar esošo tehnoloģiju palīdzību jau nevar realizēt vēlamo funkcionalitāti. Šīs darbs aprakstīs esošo risinājumu un iepazīstinās ar jauno tehnoloģijas standartu portālu veidošanā - JSR-168 portletiem. Darbā ir aprakstīts Latvijas Universitātes portāla portletu veidošanas process, radušās problēmas un to iespējamie risinājumi. Ka arī ir analizēti iegūtie rezultāti turpmāko atjauninājumu veikšanai.
In a modern life, when people use computers more and more, it is necessary to provide possibilities to manage many processes by computer. To support these requirements, portals are used. They offer a wide functionality. The University of Latvia also has a portal. In the course of time, newer possibilities and functionality are offered to users of the portal. Technologies are always one step forward the used solutions, because adoption of them requires some time. The time has come, when the desirable functionality can not be implemented with the current technology at the portal of the University of Latvia. This paper will demonstrate the current solution and present the new standard of technology for building portals – JSR-168 portlets. In the paper, the process of building portlets for the portal of the University of Latvia, the discovered problems and their possible solutions will be discussed. Also, the achieved results will be considered to conduct further updates.
