In the article the Christianity as essential prerequisite of emergence and development for European civilization is considered, that led to emergence of modern science and society. In its turn, development of Christianity with respect to the impact of Hellenic culture on it is considered. We come to conclusions that Christian faith is not so much controversal with scientific argument.
