Abstract
This paper examines the concept of “the leap of faith” in Soren Kierkegaard’s works Fear and Trembling, Philosophical Fragments and Concluding Unscientific Postscript to Philosophical Fragments. The concept is examined in connection with the existence spheres (aesthetic, ethical and religious spheres) dealt with in these works. In the course of the paper concepts of “Religiousness A” and “Religiousness B” have been examined as well as the transition between these distinct religious forms. In this paper I have tried to demonstrate that the concept of “the leap of faith” can be attributed to Kierkegaard’s thought and is significant for understanding of his works.
