Abstract
Darba centrā ir franču intelektuāļa, postmodernā domātāja Žana Bodrijāra nelielās, bet provokatīvās grāmatas Pavedināšana analīze. Ņemot vērā Bodrijāra virzienā raidīto kritiku par neakadēmiskumu, darbā izvirzīju hipotēzi, ka Bodrijāra šķietami neakadēmiskais, nekonsekventais, pārspīlētais rakstīšanas stils ir nevis nekompetences vai nezināšanas, bet gan specifiskas stratēģijas rezultāts. Pētījuma gaitā nonācu pie secinājuma, ka Bodrijāra teoriju-fikciju var uzskatīt par mēģinājumu reabilitēt teoriju laikā, kad, stingri runājot, teorija tās tradicionālā izpratnē nav iespējama. Tomēr, no otras puses, secināju, ka Bodrijāram neizdodas izveidot alternatīvu interpretējošai un zinātniskai teorijai, jo viņa teorijai-fikcijai nemitīgi draud ieslīgšana literatūras vai zinātnes jomā, tādējādi falsificējot Bodrijāra pozīciju.
This paper is a study of Jean Baudrillard’s highly controversial book Seduction (1979), which is mostly interpreted as his affront to feminism and psychoanalysis. My strategy is to analyze this text from more philosophical point of view, revealing or rather deconstructing possible challenges that this book poses to readers, critics and philosophers. Part of my argumentation is that Baudrillard’s text should not be read as a coherent, academic theory, but rather as playful and ironic “theory-fiction”, which shows the groundlessness of theory. Although I agree with some of critics, who claim that Baudrillard’s texts lack consistency, clearly defined concepts and logical argumentation, I want to point out that what might seem as Baudrillard’s flaw or incapability, in fact, can be seen as a part of his specific strategy.
