Abstract
A 3 dimensional volumetric and surface model of Dobele impact structure has been developed during the research of Bachelor’s thesis “Spatial analysis of Dobele impact structure”. The 3D model represents the main geology and structural elements of the territory of interest. The research is based on 159 borehole data collected from LVĢMC data base and the information acquired from State Geological archives about the previous research done in 1989. The borehole data were used to create a new data base for Dobele impact structure. The modelling process consists of layer correlation between boreholes, construction of geological formation surfaces and the volumetric model as well as the assessment of the uncertainty of the model and its comparison to the previous work done by other authors. As a result of this research an understanding of the spatial distribution of the structural and morphological elements of Dobele impact structure was acquired. The thesis also provides an insight into the formation of the territory from geological and astronomical point of view. The bachelor’s thesis consists of 57 pages, divided in to 7 chapters, illustrated with 26 figures.
