Abstract
No visiem piesaistes stiliem tieši naidīgais piesaistes stils prognozēja statistiski nozīmīgi visus problēmu risināšanas stilus.
Aim of the study is to find out is there a correlation between social problem solving and attachment styles in young adults group. It is important to find out whether attachment styles predict social problem solving styles. Many studies about attachment styles and social problem solving styles where explored. The articles about social problem solving and attachment styles have been gathered together in this study. Social problem solving models theoretical background and attachment style theoretical background have been described in fundamental theories. Social problem solving and attachment styles were described from different points of view. The obtained results of the study show that there is a statistically significant relationship between attachment styles and social problems, and directly between the hostile attachment style and avoidant problem-solving style, impulsive-careless problem-solving style and rational problem-solving style. Secure attachment is associated with a statistically significant impulsive-careless problem-solving style. Of all the styles of attachment hostile attachment style statistically significantly predicted all the problem-solving styles.
