Abstract
The main theme of this diploma paper is a parallel projection. The author examines the features of parallel projection, the pictures of different lines, and the parallel projection of plane and dimensional figures. A test with evaluation is prepared. The aim of this paper is to examine the different education program standards of secondary education and compare how much of this subject is included in teaching plan of each specialization. The author gives real life examples and names professions, which could benefit from the knowledge gained in this field. The conclusion is that if the teaching plan would not be so loaded, this subject in secondary schools should be taught more extensively than it is done today. Thus, the pupils could be much better prepared for studies in institutions of higher education. In addition, the parallel projection is a good way how to teach pupils dimensional thinking.
