dc.description.abstract | Žurnāla "Православие в Балтии" [Pareizticība Baltijā] Nr.1 (Nr.10) struktūru veido trīs nodaļas: zinātniskie raksti, memuāri un dokumentu publikācijas. Zinātniskie raksti ir veltīti situācijai Latvijas Pareizticīgajā baznīcā starpkaru posmā, raksturojot dažādas jomas: reliģisko izglītību, garīdznieku kalpošanu, draudžu dzīvi. Žurnālā ir publicēts ievērojamā Latvijas arhitekta Vladimira Šervinska (1894-1975) memuāru turpinājums, kā arī Pudinavas pareizticīgo draudzes hronikas fragments (1876-1913). | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | 1st/10th issue of journal “The Orthodoxy in the Baltics” contains three sections: 1. Scientific articles; 2. Memoirs; 3. Publication of documents. The first section of journal contains five original scientific publications.Estonian archive expert Tatjana Shor in her article “The documents on Latvian Orthodox Church in the funds of the Synod of Estonian Apostolic Orthodox Church in the Estonian National Archive” offers analysis of historical sources of 20s and 30s of 20th century related to the Latvian Orthodox Church. Sergey Coja’ s article “The Latvian Orthodox Church and the Holy Sergey’s Orthodox Theological Institute in 20s and 30s of 20th century” is dedicated to the relations between the LOC and the Holy Sergey’s Orthodox Theological Institute in Paris/France. Latvian historian Tatjana Feigmane offers her article on the life and ministry of Sergey Ivanovich Trofimov (1894-1941) who was deputy of 4th Parliament of Latvia, born in the family of Orthodox peasant in the region of Latgale. The article of Aleksandr Gavrilin “The unknown Latvian priests: Nikolaj Perehvalskij” tells about the priest of church of Saint Alexander the Nevsky in Riga. The article of Svetlana Kovaļčuk “Nikolaj Makedonski and Vladimir Volodin – the priests of Spaso – Preobrazhenskij church in Riga” illustrates the life of those two priests who were ministering in Riga 1920s – 1950s. Memories of one of the leading Latvian architects – Vladimir Shervinski, are published in the second section of journal. The third section of journal introduces the fragments of chronicles of the Orthodox parish of the church of Mihalovo (Pudinava) in 1876 – 1913. | |
