Abstract
Bakalaura darba mērķis bija novērtēt Abavas upes posma (no Tukuma novada Pūres līdz Snapjiem) vides stāvokli pēc hidromorfoloģiskās novērtēšanas (River Habitat Survey) metodes.
Bakalaura darbs izstrādāts laika posmā no 2009.gada augusta līdz 2010. gada maijam.

The goal of Bachelor work study was to evaluate the Abava River stretch habitat quality by River Habitat Survey method. River Habitat Survey (RHS) is a method designed to characterise and assess the physical structure of freshwater streams and rivers (Gibbs, 2003). It was found that the highest habitat quality assessment score went to a stretch that was abundant with water, located 1 km above hydropower station dam. Stretch located near local village got the lowest habitat quality assessment score. The highest Habitat Modification Score went to a stretch that was wholly realigned in the past. This research was developed from August 2009 until May 2009. Key words: RHS, HMS, HQA, EU Water Framework Directive, hydromorphological indicators, River Abava
