Abstract
Butyl methacrylate and ethylene dimethacrylate monolith synthesis in capillary column Kristaps Eglitis, supervisor Dr. Chem. Abele S. Bachelor’s thesis, 48 pages, 29 figures, 6 tables, 33 literature references, 2 appendices. In Latvian. The paper reviews the literature about the organic monoliths, their history, role in chromatography, as well as about synthesis of monoliths and their structure. The experimental part describes the synthesis of monolithic capillary columns with different monomer composition. The obtained columns are used in liquid chromatography. In order to compare to monolith morphology depending on the quantity of monomers in the polymerization mixture, the capillaries are examined by scanning electron microscopy. MONOLITHIC, BUTYL METHACRYLATE, ETHYLENE DIMETHACRYLATE, MONOLITHIC CAPILLARY COLUMN, SYNTHESIS OF MONOLITH, POLYMERIZATION, HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY
