Abstract
The doctoral thesis is devoted to research of relations among employers and employees in the labour market with an aim to find out how the relations between employers and employees differ in the small towns and in the rural areas. The research has been based on the concept of the “space of flows” (Manuel Castells), the theory of risk in the labour market (Ulrich Beck) and the theory of liquid modernity by Zygmunt Bauman. The author uses the Workers’ skills flexibility appreciation theory of Michael Handel in order to define the regional differences in the labour market relations. The analysis of previous researches lets to emphasize the novelty of thesis: the differences of flexibility of labour market relations in small towns and in the country. There is carried out the secondary data analysis of employers’ questionnaire and the analysis of employers’ interviews. Finally, the Author comes to a conclusion that the regional spatial belonging plays an important role in determination of labour market relations. Keywords: flexibility of relations in the labour market, external and internal flexibility, insufficient employment.
